We quite like good food and here are some of our favourite places to visit.
Perranporth and Surrounds
The Watering Hole for the atmosphere and the sand between your toes. It is a beach bar so would expect nothing less.
Tywarnhayle Inn or as the locals say, the Tye has great classic pub food and they are right in town.
Country Pubs
While exploring country pubs our favourite is Miners Arms in Mithian. We love going for a lunch toastie and a cold beer. If you are in luck you will hear the clip clop of horses walking past.
The Smugglers Den in Cubert is equally fascinating and the history of the inn is a must read. Check out the old photos and history.
The Bolingey Inn is another lovely old country pub tucked away in the little hamlet of Bolingey.
Indian
Masalla Tandoori and Jaipur Indian Cuisine both offer great classic Indian dishes.
Ice Cream Treat
We love ice cream and Callestick Farm is our go to place. On a warm summers day there is no better place to gorge on quality ice cream.
St Agnes
The Tap House and The Peterville Inn in St Agnes are both very good and full of energy. At weekends they are both bursting at the seams.
Further up the hill is the St Agnes Hotel, a classic pub with a great location. Check out their website for pub quiz times.
For lunch bites we like the St Agnes Bakery, their scones are to die for. Buy a cream tea to go, sit on the bench outside, dig into your scones and indulge in the view.
The Sorting Office has the best coffee in town, the café girls are friendly and it’s a local’s meetup. If the café is full, which happens a lot, take your coffee and cake and go sit under the big tree across the road.
Trunk Deli is a beautiful little delicatessen where we like to pick up quality produce.
Across the street is the fabulous Shellfish Deli which cannot be missed.
For take away pizzas we love The Cornish Pizza Company.
Trevaunance Cove
At the Trevaunance Cove end of town you have another bunch of eateries and pubs to explore. The Driftwood Spars is a must. Down by the water’s edge is Verdant Schooners for great pizzas and craft beer.
Genki is the tiniest and cutest of little cafes and the food is great.
There are so many great places to eat out and this list does not cover them all.
