South West Coast Path

SWCP On Our Doorstep

Perranporth is one of the stops on the Southwest Coast Path (SWCP).

Whether you are doing a short afternoon hike or the hike of a lifetime you will enjoy the SWCP regardless of the time of year and weather.

We offer one-night stays to accommodate hikers and we also work closely with Luggage Transfers who will collect and drop your luggage in a safe and timely manner.

Hikers walking westbound should hike towards Cligga Head and turn inland prior to arriving at Cligga Head. If you are hiking eastbound then you turn inland at Cligga Head. Please refer to the following map. If you are lost or in doubt, just give us a buzz and we will give you directions.

Please do not walk along the road to our hotel, it is a busy road and there are sections with no sidewalk. It is much more enjoyable and shorter to stay on the SWCP.

Hiking can be exhausting and sometimes you just want to stay 2 nights to recover and catch up. If you wish to book a 2-night stay then we offer complimentary pick up and drop off in Newquay and Portreath which are the next stops.

Need to leave your car for a few days whilst you hike the SWCP? Please let us know, we can offer car parking at £10 per day for non-residents, availability permitting.

The Salt Path – Book and Film

“The Salt Path” by Raynor Winn is a touching story about bouncing back and finding hope.

After losing everything, Raynor and her husband Moth take on the challenge of walking 600 miles along the South West Coast Path.

Along the way, they find healing and strength in nature. This heartfelt tale shows how tough people can be and how deeply connected we are to the world around us.

It’s a real inspiration for anyone.
